About me

I'm a sewing, gardening, wine drinking mother of two now the wrong side of 40. A fabric addict who is slightly obsessed with buying fabric (sorry Mr Bank Manager!). Also now addicted to Twitter and Pinterest. I have recently opened a little online fabric shop to feed my addiction to pretty fabric. Want to have a look? Its www.sewscrumptious.co.uk. I love blogging and want to encourage other people to sew by talking about the things I am making and by posting tutorials and sharing new sewing products. I also make and sell gorgeous fabric gifts for children. You can find my bibs, tooth fairy cushions, hair clip tidies, baking bags etc in my folksy shop here

I am the UK co-ordinator for the 'Dress a Girl Around the World' charity making and sending pillowcase dresses and shorts to girls and boys living in poverty in developing countries. We have collected over 4,000 dresses so far and sent dresses and shorts to over 15 countries including Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, India, Malawi and South Africa! I'm also a member of the Pin Addicts Team. We run the Pinterest Challenge which encourages people to make something they have 'pinned' on Pinterest each month. To join in take a look at the PinAddicts website here. There are prizes!

I have two beautiful children. A daughter Isabella who also loves sewing

and a son Sam who wants to be a fireman!
