Fabulous Fabric Giveaway!

We love the new 'Sweet Escape' collection from Dashwood Studio so much that we have decided to give some away!

You can win a metre of each of the gorgeous fabrics below simply by leaving a comment on the blog. We just want to know whether you would like us to stock downloadable patterns on the Sew Scrumptious Fabric Website. You can gain extra entries by visiting our facebook and twitter pages too.

The giveaway ends on 31 August 2016 and is open to the UK only.

Good Luck!

  1. I love Dashwood! And yes I'd liove you to start selling downloadable patterns - when I get an idea in my head I often want to start immediately, not wait a week for a physical pattern to arrive 😊 I love patterns for bags, ladies and children's clothes X

  2. I love having the choice of PDF patterns! There's no waiting for the postman, just find something you like, print it and start creating. The only thing that puts me off some brands is the price, some of them are very expensive. I have printed off patterns for me and my daughter.

Yes I would love downloadable patterns! Its a fab idea. I much prefer online patterns as you have then stored somewhere safe, and they don't deteriorate over time with multiple uses. Love Sew Scrumptious, fantastic customer service and gooorgeous selection at really reasonable prices x

  15. Downloadable patterns are fine for small items. Though the larger the pattern pieces (and greater the number of pages), the less I like them.

  19. I tend to buy paper patterns because printer ink is expensive, and the patterns never print as nicely as the store bought ones. I do occasionally buy PDF quilt and bag patterns, though, so I'd be most interested in those.

  20. Yes! I love a PDF pattern! The taping can be a faff for large (adult) patterns, but I love it for kids garments and accessories.

  21. Have only used downloadable patterns for small items - printing and paper costs in addition to all the taping put me off purchasing adult clothing PDF's. Love the fabric.

I like downloadable patterns, but prefer them just for bags/accessories or simple clothing as cutting and sticking together loads of pages can get complicated. The finished patterns are hard to keep too - thick sellotaped pages don't fold or store well.
