This makes it all worthwhile

I was absolutely delighted to receive these pictures today. The first photos of our dresses being delivered to girls living at the Home of Hope Orphanage in Malawi. 50 dresses were taken over by a group of young people visiting the orphanage. I am hoping to get a first hand account of their trip soon to put on the blog but thought I would share these photos with you in the meantime










Beautiful girls wearing beautiful dresses! Thanks everyone. This is the reason we are making dresses. 


Please check out the website for the Home of Hope Orphanage if you are interested in finding out more about the fantastic work they do. It was founded and is still run by Rev. Chipeta an inspiring man now in his 80's! The orphanage is in Mchinji, Malawi, just next to the Zambian border and is the oldest private orphanage in Malawi run by Malawians. They care for over 600 orphans from all over Malawi, providing food, shelter and good quality education in a loving environment.  It looks like such an amazing place. I can't wait to find out more about the work they do.

  3. How special. Thank you so much for sharing these pictures. It makes you realise how much the things we take for granted mean to children who have so very little. I've had a really manic week this week with work but managed to make dress number 61 yesterday :-)
